19th February

Oxfordshire Greens are calling on residents to boycott nPower to demonstrate their opposition to plans by the company to fill one of the two remaining Radley Lakes with waste ash from Didcot Power Station. The Greens voted against giving planning permission to nPower to fill the lake but were outvoted by the other parties on the County.

Says Green Cllr Elise Benjamin, "The lakes should be registered as a town green for the public to enjoy in perpetuity - not used as cheap landfill."
