Local Green wins prestigious book award Print E-mail
30th September 2007

Chris Goodall, the Green Party parliamentary candidate for Oxford West and Abingdon, has been awarded the Clarion prize for non-fiction for this book on low-carbon living. At the awards ceremony in London on September 28th, the judges praised ‘How to Live a Low-carbon Life’ for its clarity and optimism. They saw it as a significant contribution to the public understanding of the complexities of climate change.

New Scientist has referred to the book as 'the definitive guide to reducing your carbon footprint'

Chris Goodall said,

‘Global warming is far and away the greatest threat to the peace and
prosperity of the planet. I wanted to write a book that gave the
scientifically literate reader a good understanding of how lifestyle choices
affect our individual carbon footprint. I worked hard to simplify a lot of
very complex issues and I am very flattered to win this prestigious award.
