At a full meeting of Oxford City Council held on 19th November 2007, a motion from the Green Group succeeded in gaining widespread Council support to look at ways to help small, local businesses.

Protecting the Character of Oxford’s Satellite Shopping Areas

This Council invites the Executive to set up a working group, including any interested City Councillors, and legal and regeneration officers to look at the potential for financial and other help in protecting the character of our satellite shopping areas under the power of well being in the Local Government Act 2000.
