Oxford Greens outpoll Lab/Con/LibDem Print E-mail

euro_bar.gifThe Green Party came FIRST in Oxford in the 2009 Elections for the European Parliament, with a substantial lead over all other parties.

Votes for the South East Euro region are counted by local authority - hence it is possible to determine party votes for the Oxford City Council area.

This is the first time the Greens have topped a Citywide poll in Oxford. At the last European elections, they polled third in Oxford City behind Labour and the LibDems.

Around the Country, the Greens also came first in Brighton and Norwich.
